My letter to mr. rosenberg

Dear Mr. Rosenberg,

I haven’t spoke with you in a while and just wanted to take the time to appreciate the effect you have had on my life. Throughout high school you remained my favorite teacher. You were there at a turning point in my life and helped me achieve better grades. You bought out the best writer in me and taught me in ways that no one else could make me understand. I still refer to your teachings even today in college. You may think your students have forgotten you, but I still remember. Last semester I thought of you when I had to read Things Fall Apart again. This semester you were recalled when I was told to write an appreciative letter to someone (teacher, parent, or friend) as part of my auto-biography. Even though I did not have your class after my sophomore year, I still found my way back to you to check in or for assistance. What’s more is you are human, not only have I witnessed you as a professional, but I have witnessed some misfortunate mishap that has occurred in the past. You may not be teaching now, but you are always a teacher, THE teacher, in my heart. I pray for you all the time and I know God will continue to light your path. Thank you so much Mr. Rosenberg, for being such a good teacher, associate, and above all, a friend.

Your Student,

Amber McKinney
